Catalogue essay commissioned for the Oxford Based Project ‘Movement, Anomalies and Distractions’.
“Movement, Anomalies and Distractions is a 3-tiered exhibition that challenged participating artists to select an Oxford institution which is not open to the public and attempt to gain access to a specific place, activity or information, either virtually or physically. The cooperation/collaboration between each artist and institution resulted in an artwork which was placed into a strategically chosen public place on the 30th June 2012 in Oxford“
The final stage of the project is an exhibtion held at Wolfson College, Oxford between the 30th September and 19th October 2012 and is a satellite event to ‘The Art of Research’, a public discussion on the similarities and differences of scientific and artistic research which will be held on 18 October 2012 5.30 pm at Wolfson College.
The catalogue is available at the exhibtion and can also be downloaded as a pdf.
